About DeSales University

DeSales University is a private Catholic university for men and women, located in Center Valley, which is an unincorporated village, situated in the US state of Pennsylvania, one mile north of Coopersburg, at the intersection of Pennsylvania Route 309 and Pennsylvania Route 378, in Upper Saucon Township, in Lehigh County, with a population of approximately 900 inhabitants.

DeSales was established in 1956, and, until 2001, was known as Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales. It is administered by the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, and accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and the National League for Nursing.

The university offers its students various educational opportunities, at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, the key components of its curriculum being `a broad-based liberal arts program and career-focused specialization`.

Athletics

DeSales' athletic teams are known as the Bulldogs and they compete in the NCAA Division III Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Conference (MAC) and the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC), with 16 men's and women's sports teams. Their distinctive colors are blue and red.
